Evening Logistics & Guide
Richmond After Dark: Evenings at River Rock and Beyond
An evening at River Rock Casino Resort centres on on-site dining, performances at the Show Theatre, and late-night options across the gaming floor. If you are planning night-time trips around Richmond or across the river into downtown Vancouver, we timed the transit connections, checked restaurant operating hours, and reviewed local venue updates so you can organize your night without surprises.

Richmond Night Market Permanent Closure
For many years, travellers staying near Bridgeport station built their weekend evenings around the Richmond Night Market at 8351 River Road. Visitors should note that the market closed permanently following its final season in September 2026 after 26 years of operation, as the organisers announced that its site lease had ended. It no longer operates next to the resort, so guests should not include the market in current or future travel itineraries.
With the market site vacant, evening activities around Bridgeport focus directly on the resort complex itself or destination trips accessible via public transit. The resort sits at 8811 River Road on Musqueam lands, owned since 16 June 2026 by a partnership of Petroglyph Development Group (wholly owned by the Snuneymuxw First Nation) and Musqueam Capital Corp. If you are arriving for the evening by car, self-parking is accessible off River Road, while hotel guests have parking included in the $19.99 daily resort fee.
On-Site Evening Dining and Lounges
The resort houses ten food and beverage venues, providing several sit-down and late-night options for dinner without leaving the property. We checked the schedule and menu formats for each location:
- Gordon Ramsay Steak: Serves dry-aged steaks and Beef Wellington. Dinner runs Sunday to Thursday from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM, and Friday to Saturday from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The lounge features live music on Saturdays in October from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Reservations can be made through riverrock.com.
- KOI: Premium Japanese cuisine and sushi, open for dinner from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM (closed Tuesdays).
- Sea Harbour: Serves Cantonese cuisine and seafood during its evening seating from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
- The Chairman's Room Lounge & Buffet: Offers a weekday dinner buffet for $24.99 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday through Friday, along with a Grand Weekend Dinner Buffet. The lounge operates Sunday to Thursday until 10:00 PM and Friday to Saturday until 11:00 PM.
- Privé Bar: Offers wine, beer, cocktails, and small plates daily.
- Late-Night Dining: Chopsticks Noodle House remains open from 7:00 AM until 3:00 AM daily for soup, rice, and noodle dishes. Zio's stone-oven pizza and Rock House Burgers & Fries stay open until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights (10:00 PM Sunday through Thursday).

The Show Theatre and Casino Floor
Evening entertainment on property centres around the River Rock Show Theatre and the 70,000-square-foot casino floor. The Show Theatre accommodates up to 1,000 guests in a cabaret or auditorium setup, or 450 guests in a thrust stage configuration. Upcoming performances listed on the schedule include tribute shows and live concerts, such as Walk Like a Man in November 2026 and Trooper in January 2027. Show schedules and ticketing details are published on riverrock.com; you can also review seating setups in our guide to the Show Theatre.
Commercial gaming at the resort is conducted and managed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) and regulated by the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO). In British Columbia, casino entry is strictly limited to adults aged 19 and older. Provincial regulations mandate that every visitor present government-issued photo ID at the entrance, where security staff scan it against the provincial Game Break database prior to entry.
The gaming floor includes over 1,100 slot machines, 108 Electronic Table Game terminals, live table games, an Action Arena craps section operating daily from 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM, a racebook, and a Texas Hold'em poker room holding scheduled weekly tournaments. High-limit areas include Privé Slots and the Jade Room.
Late-Night Transit and Trips to Downtown Vancouver
Because Bridgeport station sits directly across the street at 2211 Great Canadian Way, taking transit into downtown Vancouver or returning late at night does not require a car. According to figures from Tourism Richmond, Canada Line trains operate daily from approximately 5:00 AM until 1:00 AM.
A train ride from Bridgeport station to Waterfront station in downtown Vancouver takes about 20 minutes. This allows guests to spend the early evening downtown for dining or theatre before taking the Canada Line from YVR and downtown directly back to the Bridgeport platform across from the resort entrance. An adult single-zone fare is $3.50 cash/contactless ($2.85 with stored value), while a two-zone fare crossing into Vancouver is $5.10 cash/contactless ($4.20 stored value); exact zone details can be checked with TransLink.
If you are staying overnight at the resort, returning to your room late at night is straightforward. The Hotel Tower and Casino Tower house rooms in the two towers, linked internally by the elevated Sky Bridge. The front desk maintains a 19+ check-in policy, requiring matching photo ID and a valid credit card for entry and incidentals.
